A political candidate could use vanity plates with a campaign slogan, and,
by using a very short vanitized message, could allow supporters to get vanity
plates with the slogan (by adding different digits to the slogan). The candidate
would vanitize with the slogan plate, generating free, positive media coverage,
and by demonstrating his/her creativity, be more likely to win.  |
